Recently, I was offered a seat on a rocket ship and missed the launch.
Here’s what happened.
I decided to pursue an M.B.A. instead of acquiring real-time experience. 🤦🏽♂️
Why? Let me give you a sneak peek into my rationale (my M.B.A. application interview during COVID-19).
1st question: What is the reason why you’re interested in acquiring an M.B.A.?
Answer: “I feel like I’ve been passed up on leadership and executive roles in Silicon Valley because I was viewed as more of a creative product manager than a technical product manager. While at Google, I spent much time sifting through data and learning the lay of the land. I also rubbed shoulders with many other product managers who highly recommended that I acquire either an M.B.A. and an analytical degree or an analytical degree. Since GSU offers both, I figured I’d go for the whole kid in Caboodle.
2nd question: What’s extremely important to you outside of school, and how are you committed to it?
